What we collect
- Account: email, password (hashed), plan choice.
- Coaching data: AP subjects you selected, drafts and assignments you submit, AI feedback and scores, and your conversations with the coach. These are kept until you delete your account.
- Writing checks: if pasted text looks AI-written, we save a private flag with the reason. A linked parent can see it; if no parent is linked, the student can.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We store subscription status; Stripe stores your card.
- Analytics: aggregate usage events (sign-up, subscription started) to run the business.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not train third-party AI models on your writing.
- We do not use your essays as training data for our own models.
- We do not share student work with anyone except a parent or guardian the student has linked, and the service providers listed below.
Who processes your data
We use trusted infrastructure providers to run the service: our database and auth provider, Stripe for payments, and an AI provider for essay feedback. These providers process your data on our instructions only.
Students under 18
Students and parents have separate accounts. Students under 18 should use the service with a parent or guardian's knowledge, and can link a parent from their Billing page. A parent or the student can ask us to delete the student's account and all its work at any time by emailing us.
Deleting your data
Cancel and delete your account by emailing ap.ace.coach.com@gmail.com. We remove your account and all essays within 30 days of the request.
